Masterclass Programme

12 November 2010

12:00 to 13:00 Delegate Registration, Buffet Lunch & Trade Exhibition
13:00 to 13:30 Annual General Meeting
13:30 to 15:30 Masterclass Content

Treatment-planning concepts for implant dentistry are often poorly understood and the restoration of dental implants is often too complicated and time consuming. The presentation will emphasise the use of standard prosthodontic principles to simplify the restoration of dental implants to create excellence. Dr Hebel will introduce the concept of biologic imperatives of healing to control aesthetics and accelerate treatment time lines.

An organised approach will be presented for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment planning of restorative needs of dental implant patients. This approach can apply to patients who are having fixed reconstructions on natural teeth, including implant-supported restorations.

Concepts of smile design will be used to predict treatment outcomes and determine the need for bone and soft tissue grafting. The plane of occlusion which determines function and aesthetics will be used to control aesthetics and tooth reduction, and will indicate the need for crown lengthening.

Through the use of standardised, easy-to-follow techniques, case management will be demonstrated. It will enable practitioners to have a new and simplified view for reconstructing implant-supported prostheses and make more complex implant challenges a routine part of everyday practice.

Dr Hebel uses the latest techniques of computer-generated slides, animation and video to bring to life the core concepts of every day dental practice. His goal is to provide exciting, leading edge, useful information to stimulate higher quality and higher production for every participant
