For some of our patients the replacement of a tooth with an implant is not enough - they would like their tooth replacement to blend in with the rest of their teeth and appear indistinguishable.
The challenge we have is that when a tooth is lost there is always some loss of tissue and also remodelling the alveolus for a like for like replacement of the tooth can be challenging.
During this lecture I will cover the strategies that we can employ during all stages of implant treatment to maximise the final aesthetic outcome of the surgical and restorative phases of implant treatment.
Learning Objectives:
- To understand the papers that can guide our aesthetic diagnosis when implant treatment is being planned
- To understand some of the interventions that can be used for preservation and augmentation
