200 Miles to Congress: Cycling for Two Incredible Charities

As part of the ADI’s 40th Anniversary celebrations, four members of the ADI Board are taking on an extraordinary challenge – cycling more than 200 miles over two days, while raising funds for two charities that are doing incredible work.

Dr Andrew Little, Dr Adam Bzeu, Dr Amit Mistry and Dr Kasia Gurzawska will set off from Banbridge in Northern Ireland on Tuesday 13 April 2027, cycling to Dublin before crossing the Irish Sea to Holyhead and completing the final leg to Liverpool. The team will cross the finishing line at the ADI Team Congress on the morning of Thursday 15 April.

The ride is expected to involve more than 200 miles and 24 hours of cycling over the two days, depending on ferry schedules and weather conditions!

Supporting two great causes

The challenge will raise funds for two charities that are particularly close to the hearts of the team and the wider dental community:

Young Lives vs Cancer supports children and young people affected by cancer, as well as their families, with practical, emotional and financial support.
Dentists' Health Support Trust provides confidential support to members of the dental profession experiencing mental health difficulties, stress, burnout, addiction and other personal challenges.

Every donation will be shared equally between the two charities, with an initial fundraising target of £10,000.
