Aims & Objectives
The PGCert in Dental Implantology is aimed at dentists with little or no previous experience in implant dentistry.
The program provides full training, in accordance with GDC requirements, to allow a dentist to provide dental implant treatment in practice.
Successful completion results in the award of the formal postgraduate qualification - Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implantology (PGCert Dent Imp)
Event Content
The course provides a combination of online and contact learning:-
- Module A: Theory (provided as an online program in Term 1 and Term 2)
- Module B: Practical Skills week at Moller Centre, Churchill College, University of Cambridge (Term 3)
- Module C: Clinical Training week in Stafford. Delegates will treat provided patients over a 5 day program. Participants are guaranteed a minimum of 10 implants.
Assessment is by coursework, essays and OSCEs
