Aims & Objectives
The Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology's UK Implantology Year Course has already trained over 500 dentists from across the UK. The course is set up to ensure that any general dental practitioner, from complete beginner upwards, can obtain Certified comprehensive theoretical and practical training to comply fully with the GDC training requirements in implant dentistry.

The UK Implantology Year Course takes place over 10 Study Days (5 Theory and 5 Surgical Skills Study Days).

Lectures are supported by our online Living Textbook, providing 24/7 access to over 25 hours of supplemental e-learning.
Benefits
Successful completion of the Course results in the award of the 'Certificate of Competency in Dental Implantology'. This certificate demonstrates that the practitioner has received competency assessed training in full compliance with the GDC requirements for the practice of Dental Implantology (Foundation Level) in the UK.
For delegates who wish to continue their implantology education, completion of the course allows application for direct Year 2 access to the PGDip in Dental Implantology under the Approved Prior Learning (APL) scheme*. This option is open for up to 5 years after the end of each delegate's cohort of the UK Implantology Year Course.
- An additional online conversion module is required for all APL entrants gaining Year 1 exemption from the PGDip.
