Further details about this event

The "fast track bar" (FTB) is a metal bar or track used to support overdentures or other restorations, particularly in cases with narrow ridges. It's designed to facilitate faster healing and loading times compared to other methods, potentially improving patient comfort and offering a cost-effective solution

The FTB provides a solid base for the overdenture, allowing it to be placed and secured more quickly. By supporting the restoration, the FTB can reduce the time needed for tissues to heal and for the prosthesis to be loaded (placed into the mouth).

The FTB can contribute to a more comfortable experience for patients, especially those with sensitive or compromised tissues. In some cases, the FTB can be a more economical solution compared to other restoration options, like full dentures or more complex procedures. The FTB is particularly useful in patients with narrow or weakened jawbones, where traditional methods may not be suitable.

Aims & Objectives

Aims
To provide dental professionals with the essential knowledge and clinical skills to efficiently plan, place, and restore implant-retained overdentures using the Fast Track Bar system.

Objectives:
1. To understand the indications, design, and function of the Fast Track Bar in implantology.
2. To develop competence in implant planning, placement, for bar-supported overdentures.
3. To learn prosthetic protocols for accurate fitting and long-term success of overdentures.
4. To identify suitable patients and manage ongoing care and maintenance of implant-supported overdentures.
