My Journey with the OT Equator System

In this presentation we will highlight the main advantages of the OT Equator prosthetic application, and the reasons we made the transition from the classic multiunit abutments to the OT Bridge protocol.

Starting from classic overdentures, going to bar supported overdentures and fixed screw retained restorations, the OT Equator is the most versatile prosthetic system available today on the market, satisfying every prosthetic need and fitting every implant system available. 

Since for every new procedure there is a learning curve, we will gradually present the clinical steps, the rationale behind the system, and how we can implement it into our daily clinical practice.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Implant supported prosthesis: clinical procedures and mechanic-prosthetic aspects

  • Overdenture and surgical procedures: real clinical cases analysis from the fixture insertion

  • The choice of the proper attachment, and related elastic component, system according to the clinical case and patient’s needs

  • Implant-bar retained overdenture: parameters for a correct prosthetic project and clinical application

  • Implant divergence resolution techniques: how to compensate the miss alignment among roots and implants

Biography

Dr Mihai Săndulescu holds the position of professor at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" Bucharest, Romania. 

He is a senior physician in oral surgery, and a specialist in oral prosthodontics. Also, he is a PhD Coordinator in dentistry, and a member of various scientific and editorial boards.

Over the year His specialization has led him to be a national, European, and international speaker, delivering courses and scientific conferences in collaboration with various companies in the dental field. He is also an author of articles and scientific publications in high-impact journals.
