  • To diagnosis peri implant diseases and to understand the disease process

  • The risk factors that lead to peri implant disease and how to avoid them

  • How to manage peri implant mucositis in general practice for the whole team and for our patients 

  • How to manage peri implantitis and non surgically and surgically.

Biography

Amit is the principal specialist and director at Birmingham Dental Specialists in Birmingham. His special interests are dental implants, regenerative and aesthetic Periodontics.

Amit graduated from the University of Liverpool and completed a 4-year specialist training programme in Periodontics at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Dental Institute. Amit was an Associate Specialist in Periodontics at the Birmingham Dental School for 9 years and is still an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry . He has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including lecturing to dental practitioners both in the UK and internationally. Amit is currently the Priesident ofthe Association of Dental Implantology.
