Aims & Objectives

This course aims to provide an implant dentist’s understanding of the skills required to use the SMOP planning software and utilise this for more complex cases. By the end of the course we would expect participants to be able to plan implant positioning confidently and be able to implement this within their practice.

SMOP guides from a clinician’s perspective – case presentation demonstrating use of the Versah C-Guide with SMOP and the benefits of a surgical guide for precision and accuracy
• Practical use of SMOP for all on 4
• Overview of Versah as an osteotomy bur
• Overview of Versah C-Guide and it’s benefits
• Understanding and use of the key system
• Brief overview of Swissmeda
• Advantages of guided surgery, pre planning and the SMOP open skeletal design
• Different design approaches to improve implant placement
• Acquisition of accurate data and data management
• When to use a pilot or fully guided method
• Hands on planning for complex surgical procedures e.g. All on 4
• Hands on planning from a restorative approach
