Minimise errors, maximise patient outcomes and satisfaction and achieve professional success…
Many events in the field of dental implantology focus on ground breaking techniques, research and achieving perfection and the very best for patients. However, this does not always match the realities faced by dental professionals, who have to contend with occasional mistakes, failures and the very real concern about running into medicolegal issues when such problems occur.
This ADI Focus Meeting was put together with the intention of inspiring dentists and their teams to learn from their mistakes and those of their colleagues. It will highlight the importance of individuals reflecting on their own work and seeking ways to improve everything from their techniques and materials to their record keeping and the patient experience delivered, including the psychological assessment of the patient.
The speaker line-up includes dental experts as well as a navy helicopter pilot and cardiothoracic surgeon, who will discuss how they learnt from their mistakes and what they implemented to avoid the repetition of problems. In addition, medicolegal experts will help delegates understand the concept of consent, and strategies for defusing complaints.
We believe that the fresh perspectives and important information provided by the speakers will prove invaluable to attendees, who will come away better prepared and more confident to face challenging professional issues in the future.
