David will consider the following:
- Communication with the dental laboratory
- Shade taking
- Treatment planning for dental implants
- A review of some of the current technical and clinical aspects of fixed and removable prosthodontics.
- Dental materials used in modern prosthodontics including all ceramic options.
David qualified from The University of Edinburgh in 1985 BDS and set up his own Practice in 1988. In 2003 he qualified with a Master’s Degree in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics from Kings College, London and began the restorative aspect of dental implant treatment around this time. In 2007 David introduced the surgical aspect of dental implantology into his Practice.
David works on a referral basis, taking referrals for complex prosthodontic cases including the surgical and restorative aspect of implant treatment.
He is a clinical advisor for one of Ireland’s largest Dental Laboratories – Southern Cross Dental and his role is to help dentists by giving advice, both clinical and technical, on restorative cases including implant cases.
His medico-legal practice has grown considerably over the past 5 years where he acts as an Independent Dental Expert Witness and acts as a Clinical Advisor and Expert for the General Dental Council.
