Barry P Levin earned his DMD from Temple University School of Dental Medicine. He received his certificate in Periodontology from the University of Maryland School of Dental Surgery. He has the title of Clinical Associate Professor in Graduate Periodontology and Implant Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, where he has earned several teaching awards. Barry is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery. Along with maintaining a private specialty practice in suburban Philadelphia, Barry has authored more than 25 articles pertaining to implant loading, tissue engineering, aesthetics and the Dermal Apron Technique, for which he has a trademark in the USA. He lectures nationally and internationally on these topics. Barry also sits on the editorial board of the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants and the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He is the Implant Section Editor for Compendium and the Periodontics Section Editor for Inside Dentistry. Barry also serves as an opinion leader for several dental implant and grafting materials manufacturers.
