Lyndon F Cooper DDS, PhD is the Associate Dean for Research and Head of the Department of Oral Biology at University of Illinois School of Dentistry, Chicago. He previously served as Stallings Distinguished Professor of Dentistry and Director of Graduate Prosthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lyndon is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and served as the 2010 President of the American College of Prosthodontists and served as the Chair of the American College of Prosthodontists Education Foundation. He received the ACP’s 2004 Clinician/Researcher Award, the IADR’s 2009 Distinguished Scientist Award for Prosthodontics and Implantology, and the 2016 Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontists’ Schweitzer Award for Research. Lyndon most recently received the IADR/AO Osseointegration Innovation in Implant Sciences Award. Lyndon’s laboratory focuses on bone biology and clinical evaluation of dental implant therapies. Their research findings have been presented in numerous publications and presentations.
