Accurate impression taking is a key tool for any dentist, and with implants it is vital to take an accurate impression to transfer the position and design of an implant or abutment to a master cast. Impressions also capture the soft-tissue contours that will frame the restoration, maximizing aesthetics around the implant.
In this workshop, the lecturers will analyse and explain the techniques of taking implant level impressions and describe thoroughly the necessary instruments, components and materials needed. Students will then have a chance to undertake all the steps for impression taking of an implant, following one of the appropriate techniques outlined during this course.
