Joseph completed Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He is a Professor and maintains a private practice. He is on the Editorial Board of The International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, and The European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. His honours include the Best Research Award from the Academy of Osseointegration in 1997, and the Judson Hinckey Award from the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry in 2003. He has over 90 reference publications and chapters in textbooks with emphasis on periodontal tissue management, immediate tooth replacement and interdisciplinary treatment planning on implant aesthetics.
