Success Rates of Fixed Immediate Restorations of Endentulous Jaws

In dental implantology various alternatives to therapy of edentulous jaws are available. The avoidance of augmentations using angulated implants combined with immediate prosthetic restoration are the central components of the so-called full-arch/immediate-loading therapy.

Michael Weiss is presenting a long-term study of 23 patients together with 170 implants which were implanted in the period 2008-2011. It was investigated what therapy success rate in terms of bone loss and implant loss can be reached and how difficult hygiene conditions such as periodontitis, nicotine abuse, diabetes mellitus and osteoporosis would infect the success rate.
