 Ian Dunn

Ian Dunn qualified from Leeds University in 1998 and spent 7 years in general practice before focusing his career on periodontology. In 2010 he completed his Masters Degree in Clinical Periodontology and in 2012 he was accepted on to the GDC Specialist List in Periodontics.

Ian spends the majority of his week in specialist practice in Liverpool at Rose Lane Dental Practice and Wilmslow at Clinic 334 where he takes referrals for all aspects of periodontal disease management, aesthetic periodontology and peri-implantitis management.

Until recently Ian was the Undergraduate Teaching Lead in Periodontics at Liverpool University and he still holds a Senior Clinical Teacher contract.

Ian also teaches nationwide with Phil Ower as part of the PerioCourses team and has delivered lectures to most of the UK’s major dental meetings. Phil and Ian also provide the Perio component of the Royal College of Surgeons Restorative Diploma.

For the last 4 years Ian has served on the Council of the British Society of Periodontology as their Honorary Editor.

Ian is also co-director of IDEAL - Independent Dental Education Academy Liverpool together with his colleague Paul Swanson.
