DESCRIPTION:The dental teams that place and restore implants are not always the ones that are tasked with monitoring and maintaining these patients. Whilst our understanding of peri-implant disease is in its infancy and growing exponentially\, it is becoming clear that it takes teamwork to minimise the effect of these diseases on our patients. The aim of the presentation will be to discuss the latest evidence base supporting the aetiology\, diagnosis and management of peri-implant diseases\, and how we can best work as a team in general practice to prevent and manage these diseases.\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\nTo understand the risk factors and diagnostic criteria for peri-implant diseasesTo be familiar with the available evidence on the treatment options for the management of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitisTo appreciate the role of DCPs in the prevention and management of peri-implant diseasesTo consider the possible implant workflows that could result in less stress for the dentist\, greater job satisfaction for the DCP and improved treatment outcomes for the patient
