DESCRIPTION: WHY ATTEND In the implant era\, the decision to retain a periodontally compromised tooth or replace it with an implant remains an important clinical challenge. Advances in periodontal regeneration and minimally invasive surgical techniques have expanded the possibilities for preserving teeth with intrabony periodontal defects and improving their long-term prognosis.\n\n This lecture will explore the key factors influencing the “save or replace” decision\, with particular emphasis on case selection\, defect characteristics and contemporary regenerative strategies. Minimally invasive approaches\, including the Non-Incised Papillae Surgical Approach (NIPSA)\, will be discussed and illustrated through clinical cases and findings from ongoing research. The aim is to provide a practical and evidence-based perspective on the potential of periodontal regeneration and its role in treatment planning before considering tooth extraction and implant replacement.\n\n Learning objectives Identify key factors guiding the decision to retain a periodontally compromised tooth or replace it with an implant. Recognise the indications and principles of contemporary periodontal regeneration\, including minimally invasive approaches such as NIPSA. Integrate regenerative treatment options into evidence-based clinical decision-making in the implant era.						 \n\n			 \n\n ABOUT THE SPEAKERs ► Dr Tanja Živanović Dr Tanja Živanović earned her dental degree from the University of Belgrade\, School of Dental Medicine in 2018\, where she also completed a postgraduate speciality program in Periodontology and Oral Medicine. In 2023\, she completed an ITI Scholarship at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL)\, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry\, The Royal London Dental Hospital (London\, UK)\, Centre for Oral Clinical Research (COCR)\, chaired by Prof. Nikos Donos.\n She is currently employed at the Department of Periodontology and Oral Medicine\, School of Dental Medicine\, University of Belgrade\, where she works as a clinical lecturer and specialist in periodontology and oral medicine. Alongside her academic and clinical work\, she serves as an Honorary Research Fellow at the COCR\, QMUL\, actively collaborating on multicentre clinical studies between London and Belgrade.\n Dr Živanović is also pursuing a PhD\, focusing on hard- and soft-tissue regeneration around dental implants\, especially bone augmentation and peri-implant tissue stability. She has shown strong dedication to scientific progress by taking part in the Osteology Foundation Research Academies in Gothenburg and London\, as well as publishing and presenting research in the field of implant dentistry and peri-implant regeneration.\n Dr Živanović is a member of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP)\, European Association for Osseointegration (EAO)\, and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).\n\n			 			DELEGATE PRICING ► ADI Member - FREE\n\n ► Non-Member - £75 (Clinicians\, Technicians and Companies)\n\n ► Non-Member - £25 (Dental Therapists\, Nurses\, Practice Managers)\n\n			 \n\n EXHIBITOR INFORMATION Exhibition opportunities are available exclusively to ADI Company members.\n The cost to exhibit is £350 + VAT.\n To secure your stand\, please book via the event page.\n\n									 						 \n\n			 \n\n			 \n\n			 \n\n			 \n\n			 \n\n			 \n\n			 \n\n			 \n\n			 \n\n			 			 \n\n						 \n\n
