The internet\, social media\, and reality TV all contribute to a misinformed and misguided sense of what is possible and can make implant dentistry a particular challenge.\n\nUnderstanding your patient and what they expect from their treatment is crucial to their perception of a successful outcome. A detailed examination\, and a comprehensive explanation of what is planned and anticipated can make all the difference\, and reduce the risk of a patient complaint.
