DESCRIPTION:The lateral region of the mandible could be a real challenge for implant supported restorations. Tooth loss and the use of removable partial dentures could result in severe hard and soft tissue deficiencies\, that can be really complicated to restore with dental implants. \n\nA variety of surgical techniques have been described for this region particularly. However\, decision-making can still be very difficult for clinicians to offer the most predictable method for their patients.\n\nBone substitutes or autogenous? Timing of implant placement? Vertical augmentation or short implants? Timing of soft tissue surgery?\n\nIn our lecture my presentation is aiming to simplify the decision making process. Also\, I would like to share my clinical cases.\n\n
