SUMMARY:Webinar: Implant Site Management Step-by-Step: From Simple Cases To Complex Scenarios
UID:1357
DESCRIPTION:Prosthetically driven implant treatment planning is the gold standard in order to achieve a final implant position that provides the most optimal final restorative result. It is an everyday challenge in implant dentistry\, especially when defects are present in the alveolar bone complicating the positioning of the implant and resulting compromise in the aesthetics\, function and longevity of our treatment for our patients.\n\nToday we have an overwhelming selection of different implant systems\, biomaterials and surgical techniques. It is not always easy to determine which system or material to choose\, based on the reliability of the material and also ease of use in order to achieve our goals.\n\nA lack of knowledge or confidence to choose between the available techniques\, particularly in compromised situations\, can lead the dentist to exclude implant treatment as part of treatment planning options. Alternatively\, they may inadvertently accept a functionally or aesthetically compromised result affecting long term success of the implant and restoration.\n\nThis lecture discusses treatment alternatives\, decision strategies and the related treatment steps in cases where implant treatments are recommended but the implant site is compromised.\n\nTopics covered include:\n\nTreatment strategies\; from straightforward to complex cases.Available surgical techniques during the different stages of implant treatment: implant site preparation\, implant placement\, implant uncover\, and prosthetic treatment options.Guidance in decision making process including the selection of implant systems and materials. The aim of this lecture is to assist general dental practitioners during the decision process in treatment planning strategies\, from simple to complex cases\, including the selection and use of various materials to enhance their outcome and success.\n\n
