Since its formation in 1987, the ADI has been dedicated to providing on-going postgraduate education to the dental profession in order to extend awareness of dental implant treatment as an option for improving patient oral health.
The following pages provide detailed information on dental implants and dental implant treatment options. Patients should read these pages in conjunction with consulting their own dentist. If any dentist is not able to fully explain the function of dental implants, local ADI members may be contacted via Find a Dentist register.
The ADI is not a governing body. While it is able to provide the public with literature on dental implants, patients should consult the dentist direct regarding treatment planning options and costs.
A Private Patients Dental Complaints Service has been set up by the General Dental Council (regluatory body for UK dental professionals) to help resolve complaints.
