IMPLANT NURSES' FORUM
Call for papers
Share your experience of implant nursing

In response to feedback from previous ADI Congress delegates, the Scientific Committee invite experienced ADI Nurses to share their experience with colleagues in an afternoon ‘Implant Nursing Forum’.

On Thursday 14 April, in the morning, a combined team for nurses, hygienists and practice managers presented by Anita Daniels from the USA will address the role of the dental TEAM in implant therapy -  increasing case acceptance through patient education, financing programmes and providing strategies for confidently communicating the benefits of implant therapy to patients.

In the afternoon, the ADI wishes to acknowledge the quality and experience of UK implant nurses by creating a forum of 8 individual 15 minute presentations on a range of implant topics relevant to all nurses involved in implant practice.

The ADI has an established reputation with its Members National Forum. It now wishes to extend this popular platform to its nurse members.

This forum will enable nurses to share their implant experience and at the same time enhance their reputation within the profession.

We are now calling for Powerpoint presentations on any implant related topic
that you feel would be of benefit to nurses in implant practice.
(suggested topics might include: setting up an implant surgery, handling instruments, implant placement, surgery, recovery, sinus lifts, bone grafts, asepsis, good/bad techniques, terminology, communication with dentist…………………)

The power point illustrated talk should be generic in content and last 15 minutes.

The ADI will provide assistant to applicants in preparing power-point presentation where needed.

The submission should contain a brief introduction and a conclusion.

Discussion time will be available at the end of each session for the audience to ask questions.

Please submit application online at here. (Members only).

Please submit by 28 May 2010

Submissions will be assessed by the Scientific Committee.

Applicants will be notified of their inclusion by the end of May 2010 together with details of presenter attendance benefits and forum timetable.
