ADI Study Clubs

The Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) is a registered charity dedicated to improving implant dentistry through its professional educational opportunities, including an increasing number of regional Study Clubs, Masterclasses and one day Focus Meetings.

The Study Clubs have become the backbone of ADI education since their inauguration in the 1980s. Hilt Tatum on a visit to England suggested this evening platform would provide an ideal platform to spread the importance of implantology to the profession, at the time in its infancy in the UK.  How right he was.

For the past two decades, nearly 500 meetings have been held on a regular basis.  Initially based in London, the format, encouraged by active members, quickly spread to Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Yorkshire and the North East of England.

Today ADI members volunteer their own time to host Study Clubs in 12 regional locations throughout the UK.

The formula has little changed  - an evening session of GENERIC case studies, presentations on implant related topics and a forum for discussion among peers with a mutual interest in implant dentistry. The ADI constantly sources quality speakers and new topics to ensure the continuation of this popular facility.

Some 500 speakers have given their time freely to the ADI and over the years, thousands of professionals have benefited from participating.

Non members are welcome but to gain advantage of member discounted rates,  clinicians and technicians are encouraged to first join the ADI.

Students, VTs, nurses, hygienists and practice managers are welcome to attend at reduced rates.

Places must be pre-booked and paid for prior to the meetings.

Participants complete evaluation feedback forms in order to receive certificates
for 2 hours verifiable CPD per meeting.

Notices for Study Club meetings are mailed to regional members where requested and all dates are posted on the ADI website in advance of each meeting.
