As said by David Garber many years ago “soft tissue is the issue but bone sets the tone” is as relevant today in the more demanding modern world of Implant Dentistry as ever.
Bone preservation, earlier Implant placement, new materials and protocols have all helped in improving hard tissue regeneration but how does the quality and amount of this new host bone affect the hosts ability to regenerate the soft tissue, especially the attached gingiva in more complex cases?
Methods, materials and research by the speaker will all be discussed with a view on how to help the host to heal.
