Course aims:

Comprehensive course for the dental practitioner wishing to introduce implants into their everyday practice. Aims to meet the ‘Training standards in implant dentistry@ FGDP 2012 for treatment of simple cases.​ Practical experience in Nobel Replace and Nobel Active implant systems.

Course content:

The course is divided into 3 sections-

SECTION 1 Assessment and Treatment Planning Attendance over 6 months for 6 days Mondays 0900-1700 6 clinical sessions am treatment planning with 4 didactic sessions pm 2 days of clinical skills training. Content Clinical assessment of patients, treatment planning, consent/ethics, phantom head sessions, suturing and flap design, membranes, equipment training (Surgical & Prosthodontic)

SECTION 2 Implant Surgery Attendance over 6 months for 6 days Wednesdays 0900-1715 Content Implant Surgery using LA and where required IV sedation. Surgical stents, Surgical indexing, placement of implants, immediate loading, soft tissue surgery, bone grafting, GBR, immediate temporisation, consent, management of surgical complications

SECTION 3 Implant Prosthodontics Attendance over 6 months for 7 days Fridays 0900-1700 – {1 introductory day and 6 clinical training days} Content Impressions, jaw registration, articulation, restoration of clinical cases maintenance, Problem solving and managing failures, satisfying aesthetic demands. Duration 7 days
