Course aims:

The aim of The Campbell Academy Sinus Grafting Live Skills course is to give all delegates the greatest exposure to sinus grafting procedures possible in a course environment.

Course content:

Using a combination of model surgery, cadaver surgery (with the latest cadaver technology) and live surgical sessions, delegates will be exposed to the maximum amount of sinus grafting procedures to give them the best possible grounding to provide this procedure for their own patients.

Comprising two days in Nottingham, including didactic teaching and observation of live surgery at The Campbell Clinic, and a day of cadaver surgery at The West Midlands Surgical Training Centre, this promises to be the best possible introduction for clinicians to provide sinus grafts on their own patients.

Topics to be covered include:

  • An introduction to Sinus Grafting
  • Patient assessment for sinus augmentation
  • Equipment and instrumentation required for sinus augmentation
  • Simultaneous placement in sinus augmentation
  • Clinical case discussion
  • CBCT in sinus augmentation
  • Complications in sinus grafting and obtaining consent for sinus augmentation
  • Surgical anatomy for sinus surgery
  • Science of bone augmentation material

Course Benefits:

  • Fantastic facilities including The West Midlands Surgical Training Centre which allows us to provide the very best possible cadaver teaching.
  • Faculty includes two invited maxillofacial surgeons, Craig Wales and Colin MacIver from South Glasgow Hospital who provide exceptional teaching in head and neck anatomy, sinus grafting techniques and endoscopic techniques to show how sinus grafts are actually carried out.
  • Each delegate is provided with an individual cadaver each to ensure they can perform grafts on both sides.
  • We have exceptional input from the dental supply companies including NSK, Hu Friedy, Straumann, Geistlich and Henry Schein.
  • A day of live surgery allows you to see sinus grafting being carried out in an environment where you are able to ask questions and discuss the case as the surgery proceeds.
