Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the anatomy of the head and neck based on two days of practicals and be able to carry out surgical procedures relating to advanced implant dentistry. 14 hours of verified CPD will be obtained.

Course content:

Course format Short introductory seminars followed by practical sessions. Orientation  Relating CT scans to cadaveric specimens. Surgical procedures  Immediate implant placement  Bone expansion  Bone grafts  Sinus lift  Soft tissue flaps and grafts  Nerve reposition Anatomy relating to implant dentistry  Muscles of facial expression  Facial nerve  Saliva glands  Temporomandibular joint  The floor of the mouth  Mandibular nerve and lingual nerve.

Course Benefits:

The ultimate simulation model (fresh frozen cadavers) will be used to obtain a thorough practical knowledge of the anatomy of the head and neck. In addition to this an extensive range of advanced surgical procedures will be carried out. CT scans with Simplant software will be provided for each specimen.
