  • Have a ‘language’ to use to describe occlusion clinically in all circumstances.
  • Have a clear understanding of different schemes of occlusion.
  • Have a working understanding of the use of current face bows and articulators.
  • Understand the differences between natural occlusion and dental implant occlusion.
  • Understand different types and uses of occlusal appliances including hard and soft splints.
  • Have a practical knowledge of setting up a hard splint in the correct occlusal position – this is to be done on themselves and other delegates on the course.
