Course aims:

The Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology's Year Course has already trained over 400 dentists from all over the UK. The course is set up to ensure that any general dental practitioner, from complete beginner upwards, can obtain Certified comprehensive theoretical and practical training to comply fully with the GDC training requirements in implant dentistry.

Course content:

The UK Implantology Year Course takes place over 10 Study Day (5 Theory and 5 Surgical Skills).

The course follows the full syllabus required by the General Dental Council for the practice of dental implantology in the UK. To see what we are doing you can follow a selection of cases treated by delegates on the course website -

Lectures are supported by our online Living Textbook, providing 24/7 access to over 25 hours of supplemental e-learning.

Course Benefits:

Successful completion of the Course results in the award of the 'Certificate of Competency in Dental Implantology'. This certificate demonstrates that the practitioner has received competency assessed training in full compliance with the GDC requirements for the practice of dental implantology (foundation level) in the UK.

For delegates who wish to continue their implantology education the course is linked to the MClinDent in Implant Dentistry at the City of London Dental School. This allows our delegates to benefit from:-

  • Exemption from the first two modules of Year 1 of the MClinDent (Year 1 comprises of 3 modules, each of 5 days duration)
  • Discount of £4,000 from the MClinDent first year course fee
This option is open for up to five years after the end of each delegate's cohort of the UK Implantology Year Course
