Sinus grafting - techniques and limitations

One area of Implantology that has enhanced the delivery of fixed option in the maxilla is the technique of sinus grafting. What are the fundamental requirements?  What are the surgical techniques? What are the limitations? What is the choice of grafting materials? And……how do you manage the complications?

Kish Soneji has a BSc(Hons) in Medical Biochemistry and an MSc in Radiobiology. In 1985 he completed his BDS and LDS RCS (Eng) and at the Royal Dental Hospital.

After 14 years of general practice, in 1999 he joined The Dental Implant Centre, 61 Harley Street, London, with the majority of the complex and advanced cases being referred to him from colleagues across the country. He originally developed a special interest in this area in 1987, and in 2007 completed a four-year Diploma in Implantology (DUI) at Lille University Medical School in France. Mr Soneji also trained under Dr Hilt Tatum for eight years. Mr Soneji has assisted as course mentor since 2000. He is also a past President of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI). He has lectured at national and international congresses on Implantology, his area of interest is the developing technologies in imaging and grafting materials.
