The high lip line smile - case report - management of multiple missing teeth

Replacing multiple missing teeth in the 'high lip line smile' patient remains one of the most challenging aspects of implant dentistry today. Managing the soft tissues is especially important. This presentation includes a step-by-step analysis of the clinical management of a patient with a high lip line smile and failing anterior maxillary dentition due to advanced chronic periodontal disease. An innovative method is employed to first gain informed consent through the use of Photoshop before translating that to the surgical setting with the use of diagnostic set-up using model surgery. Immediate implant placement will also be discussed.
