Endo guided bone regeneration – thinking outside the box
It has been a well established debate of whether to endodontically treat a tooth with periapical pathology or to extract and place an implant. The debate still continues and will do so for a very long time. Here is an example of why a multi disciplinary approach to implant dentistry would make the implant modality easier to manage and be more predictable by utilising the patient’s own bone. Here, the use of conventional endodontics eliminates the need for extensive sinus augmentation and instigates the listeners to keeping an open mind on use of other specialisms to compliment implant dentistry.
He is an extremely sought after speaker and regularly lectures in the United Kingdom and abroad on topics relating to implant dentistry and has contributed in dental journals on implant related topics.
Joe is the past Chairman of the Brent and Harrow section of the British Dental Association which he ran for five years and the Principal and founder of the Moor Park Specialist Dental Centre in Northwood, Middx.
