Dev Patel is the Director of Implant Programmes and Principal Teaching Fellow at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. He received his BDS at King’s College London in 1991 and worked as an oral surgeon at various teaching hospitals in and around London. His interests in implantology led him to prosthodontic training at the Eastman Dental Institute, where he received the M.Clin.Dent in Prosthodontics with distinction in 2000. Dev is dual registered specialist in Prosthodontics and Oral surgery. He is the Programme Director for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry which he developed and has been running since 2007.
Other responsibilities include Chair of the examiners for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry as well as examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, England. His active interests are in teaching and education in implant dentistry and he lectures in both the surgical and prosthodontic aspects of implant dentistry on a national and international level. Dev is also a partner of the Dentalrooms, which is a multidisciplinary specialist practice based in Wimbledon, London
