The Smile Design Revolution: Management, Communication and Implementation

Aesthetic Dentistry is not only about technical skills or using state-of-the-art materials. It is the way you visualise the disharmonies, the way you communicate all the issues with the team, the way you present the plan to the patient that makes the difference.

Learning how to master some digital tools and the process of Digital Smile Design (DSD) you will improve:

  • Your aesthetic diagnosis
  • Your communication skills
  • Your Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning
  • Your case documentation
  • Your educational capabilities
  • Your case acceptance

Become a complete technician incorporating the Smile Design process into your workflow. The patients will definitely see and feel the difference.

The Challenges of Creating Aesthetic Excellence in Full Arch Implant Cases: Insights from the Viewpoint of a Dental and Clinical Dental Technician

All-on-nothing to All-on-4 and beyond. There are various treatment options available today to address the aesthetic and functional needs of the patient. This presentation will discuss cosmetic and aesthetic principles that I apply when creating full arch restorations.

Overdentures will be discussed from first impressions to design of the frameworks and techniques for final processing.

Customizing of denture teeth, gingival contouring and gingival staining will be presented along with an insight into the materials used to achieve the highly aesthetic result.

The role the Clinical Dental Technician can play in the treatment planning of fixed and removable implant restorations, as part of the restorative team, will be considered.

Stent design and fabrication will be explored, driven by the question what diagnostic information can and should be obtained from the stents we use?

The technical aspects of framework design and fabrication using CAD/CAM technology will also be evaluated.
